Riyadh Exhbitions
The Annual Riyadh Motor show is one of dozens of exhibitions which attracts hundreds of thousand of visitors to Riyadh to exchange information, launch new products and make industry contacts. The largest venue in the Kingdom is the Exhibition Center in the Olaya district, operated by Riyadh Exhibitions Ltd, who run a series of trade and consumer orientated exhibitions and functions. It has a 10,000sqm covered hall and an additional 10,000sqm of outdoor display space. There are currently around a dozen events each year attracting a total of around 300,000 visitors.
The most popular event is GITEX, an annual computer and IT show that attracts around 80,000 visitors.
The Annual Riyadh Motor Show is the next most popular. About 80% of customers come from within the Province with the remainder from elsewhere in the Kingdom or from abroad. Consumer events are open to families on special reserved days. Single women are not admitted, even professional women visiting trade shows.
During September each year Saudi Agriculture is the largest agricultural exhibition in the Middle East. Riyadh is at the center of this dynamic industry, serving the largest agriculture market, the Al-Qassim region.
Every year, these events attract the most important decision makers from industry, business and government. They are the largest gathering of industry professionals and an ideal forum to launch new products and services, make new contacts and expand existing ones.
Other smaller exhibitions are held at locations such as Hokairland Theme Park and the Intercontinental Hotel. |
