Al-Qassim Festivals

Local community festivals are an opportunity to learn more about local traditions, and to see the work of local artisans and craftsmen
Several short festivals are organized throughout Al-Qassim during Eid Al Fitr. 
 
Each local festival has it's own organizing committee which is generally comprised of the local governor's office, the municipality, the Ministry of Education, and representatives of the private sector.
 
Ya' Hala Unayzah is a local government initiative which has grown to a 45 day event during the summer months.
 
A winter festival, The Al Ghada Festival, was first held in 1424H (2004) and was successfully repeated in 1425H (2005G).
 
Buraydah has run two summer festivals, and now is organizing its first winter festival, called the Leisure Recreation Burayday, which lasted 30 days and was organized by the Ministry of Education Amarah.
 
Al Bukkayriyah has two summer festivals which are organized with the Local Government and the Municipality Ministry of Education which last 12 days.
 
Ar Rass, Riyadh Al Khabra has an 11 day summer festival, Al Badai has a 9 day festival and Al Mithnab's lasts 11 days. These towns hope to continue and expand their festivals in the future
