Raghdan Forest is the most beautiful forest in Al-Baha. It's about 5km north of Al-Baha city, and covers 2.5sq km area. The area attracts a lot of visitors and all the basic amenities are available within the park. It lies on an escarpment giving a panoramic vista of the valley below.
Shahba Forest is just over 5km north of Al-Baha. A narrow path winds through the park and there are plenty of small picnic pavilions with barbecue areas set in groves of pine trees and juniper bushes. It is easily accessible and has children’s entertainment facilities, family seating and toilets. All necessary utilities are available nearby, including restaurants and supply centers. On the peak of this forest stands Al-Baha Sciences University where you can have a view of the town of Al-Baha.
Al-Geme Forest is a wild park overgrown with olive trees, acacia and juniper. It has a cable car, at the base of which are refreshment kiosks. Other amenities are available in Beljerchi which is 20 km away.
Nawan al-Ala is a 6km valley lying between two mountains near Asham village and Al-Shaira recreational Park. There is plenty of running water water, palm trees and shrubs.
Wadi Melil is a valley lying at the foot of Shada Al-Ala. It is distinctive for its tall trees and white soil which gives it the local nickname of Al-Jella. The nearest town, Al-Makhwat, is 5 km away.
As with other mountain activities, it is only recommended for people who are already expert in these area, otherwise, it is advised that you hire a local tour guide or trained professional.
